Help for LaunchWithCursor and the QA Tester Chrome extension.

LaunchWithCursor QA Tester (Chrome extension)

The LaunchWithCursor QA Tester extension is a floating Chrome panel for certified manual testers on the LaunchWithCursor platform. It is not a general-purpose testing tool — you need an active tester account and a platform-assigned project before it is useful.

Who can use it

  • You completed the tester certification course and passed the final exam.
  • LaunchWithCursor staff approved your tester access.
  • You received a platform assignment (shown in your Talent hub).

If you are not an approved tester yet, start at the Tester program.

Install and sign in

  1. Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store (or the download link in your Talent hub if provided).
  2. Open the web app you are testing in a normal browser tab.
  3. Click the LaunchWithCursor QA icon in the Chrome toolbar to open the floating panel.
  4. Sign in to launchwithcursor.com with the same account you used for certification.
  5. Paste your Bearer token into the Authentication field in the panel, then click Save auth.

Your token is the same session credential the LaunchWithCursor web app uses after sign-in. If assignments fail to load, sign out and back in on the website, copy a fresh token, and save it again in the panel.

Use ← / → in the panel header to dock it on the left or right. Close the panel only with ✕ — clicking outside does not dismiss it.

Using the panel

Once authenticated, pick an assignment and use the tabs:

  • Project — MVP-SPEC, staging URL, platform instructions, and payout details.
  • Test run — Execute AI-generated UX test cases (pass, fail, blocked, or skipped).
  • Defect — Lodge findings with severity, description, optional Network/Console notes, and an automatic screenshot of the visible tab.
  • Team chat — Message the LaunchWithCursor QA team and project thread.

Open the app under test in the main browser tab beside the panel.

Common issues

ProblemWhat to try
No assignments listedConfirm tester access is active in your Talent hub. Assignments appear when you are invited, assigned, or claim a listing.
Auth or API errorsRefresh your Bearer token from the web app after signing in again.
Screenshot not attachedGrant the extension permission to capture the active tab. Some restricted Chrome pages (e.g. chrome:// URLs) cannot be captured.
Test suite emptyThe founder’s test suite may still be generating. Use ad-hoc defects on the Defect tab until cases appear.

For assignment-specific questions, use Team chat in the extension or the clarifications thread on your assignment in the Tester hub.
